For the last several years, I have created the visual direction that supports NABCA’s annual conference theme. Often, the theme is somewhat abstract in nature, so being able to offer a variety of directions is important. I start by providing several thumbnail sketches to the client, exploring both conceptual and literal concepts and see which direction works best for them. Thumbnails are great because I can supply the team at NABCA with a lot of options to consider, before digging in further to develop the concepts. (To see an overview of that process, click here.)
Once a direction is approved, the final art is created, digitized and used on a variety of collateral materials for both preconference communications and on-site signage, programs, guides and more.
SERVICE HIGHLIGHT: All conference clients get unlimited edits on their content. Speakers, schedules, and venue details often change right up to the day of the event, so being able to make changes for clients without them worrying about alteration fees makes my process even more stress-free for clients.
